The Only Right Path

I often get people writing to me about their insights, spiritual experiences, aha moments.

They explain to me how it really is, what is the essence of existence, of the universe, of knowledge. For they are the chosen ones, the exceptional ones, who have seen and known the real Truth. Sometimes they tell me how wrong I am and that I don't understand anything. Of course, they will bring this out in a minute video that is a clipping of some course or personal guidance.

One insight, no matter how it came to you - trauma, dramatic event, drugs, shock, meditation, or whatever - is not the end of the spiritual journey. It is the beginning. If you create a new dogma based on one experience and yet begin to proclaim it as the only possible path and truth, you have replaced one illusion with a new illusion.

There is no one right way. There are as many paths as there are people in the world. For another person, another way will not work.

It certainly makes tremendous sense to learn from authentic teachers, mystics, personalities who have reached a higher level of consciousness. It's good to have a system and a process to help me at the beginning of my journey and prepare me to find my individual one. A systematic process is very useful because it helps me to put the pieces of the puzzle together more efficiently into a framework that I can then navigate more quickly.

But please never create a dogma of one single Truth. You are limiting your own progress. Moreover, if you start preaching it as a new religion, you are creating another dogma and cult that will harm not only you, but other people as well.

Be open to everything but critical of every path. Learn from many traditions from all teachers, question everything and everyone.
